GDPR Statement 2018
In line with the new GDPR 2018, please see the below statement that represent our findings for the review.
What data do we hold
The following information is kept on written formats of diaries, receipts and booking forms in relation to painted pottery and craft workshops and pottery left for glazing and firing.
- Booking Date
- Name of lead contact
- Contact number and/or email address
- Address if needed for postal delivery
- Food Allergies/ Dietary requirements of food booked for parties
- Details of pottery painted left for glazing and firing.
Customers email addresses and mobile numbers are stored in our contact records only.
We do not store card details, payments are made by cash or card machine.
If card details are taken over the phone and put through the card machine, if written down they will be destroyed immediately after successful transaction.
How data is stored
A written daily dairy is used for pottery painters booking details. A receipt is kept for all purchases, one by us and one by customer.
How data is used
Data is used solely to contact customers in regard to their booking, prior to arrival and afterwards for collection/delivery of items.
Customer will NOT be contacted past, present, future for any promotions or event.
All marketing will be via social media, website and 'Latest News' material e.g. advertising, printed, email subscribers.
Our Facebook and Instagram pages will be used to update those 'following' and 'liked' and 'friends of'. No personal information is used from this.
Removal of your data/ Control of your data
Should customers wish for removal of data held them we would delete email and mobile contacts from our records.
Paper copy details e.g. diary and receipts can have data removed and destroyed. You can change/correct/delete data by request and express concerns you have.
Any communication via third parties e.g. google, trip advisor, Facebook, Instagram to name a few, customer would be expected to manage and remove as they wish.
If used on our reviews, we would remove is asked, within a reasonable time on receiving the request and confirm once removed or destroyed.
As a family run business, we are the only people with access to data we hold. The risk of breach is very remote and no breaches are anticipated.
We never store card details and devices/ records of data are kept in a secure environment.

You may unsubscribe at any time.
The information we hold only serves purpose for bookings and purchases and data is limited. We believe data is secured safely and provides no security risk. We only have access to information you voluntarily gave.
We will not sell or rent this information to any third parties other than to fulfil your request e.g. shipping address of an order to a courier.

The Melting Zebra t/a Zebra Ceramics (the “Company”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its users.
